Founded in 2021 by floral designer Chu Chen, Chu’s Floral is a whimsical, creative flower shop nestled in the centre of Leeds, West Yorkshire. Step inside and discover an eclectic mix of fresh and dried blooms, lush plants, handpicked gifts, artful cards, and vintage treasures, all thoughtfully curated to spark joy.

Rooted in a deep love for nature, our floral designs celebrate organic textures, soft romantic palettes, and a sense of natural movement. We’re inspired by the quiet beauty of the wild: earthy hues, untamed shapes, and the simple poetry of flowers.

Hi, I’m Chu — a Certified Floral Designer with the AIFD® (American Institute of Floral Designers) and the founder of Chu’s Floral.

My floral journey began with a simple stall at the Young Trader Market in Kirkgate Market, where I showcased my passion for flowers and design to the local community. In 2022, I was honoured to receive the Gold Award, a turning point that gave me the confidence to take my floral dreams further. That same year, I opened my first brick-and-mortar flower shop on Great George Street, right in the heart of Leeds.

Before I became a florist, I worked in fashion design, and that creative background continues to influence my approach today. I see each arrangement as a composition, a blend of colour, movement, and emotion. My floral style is romantic yet playful, soft yet expressive, with a focus on subtle details and natural flow.

With over 10 years of experience in both fashion and floristry, I’ve worked on everything from weddings and events to brand styling and editorial shoots. I love using seasonal blooms, pastel tones, and organic textures to tell unique stories through flowers.
